Cardiovascular Research Training funded at Honolulu Partner University

The University of Hawai‘i at Manoa John A. Burns School of Medicine's National Insititues of Health grant to train graduate students and postdocs in cardiovascular health research has been renewed for another fiove years. The T32 grant will provide $385,000 per year to JABSOM's Center fort Cardiovascular Research train scientists in powerful new technologies of cellular and molecular biology to advance our understanding of cardiac biology and disease. The T32 grant has support 28 researchers in the past 10 years. ARCS member Dr. Mariana Gerschenson is a faculty member at the center. The medical school is one of six academic units supported with Honolulu ARCS Scholar Awards.
