For the third consecutive year, the University of Hawai‘i has set a new record for extramural funding, again exceeding half a billion dollars. UH Manoa, the UH Systemʻs flagship campus and ARCS Honoluluʻs partner university, accounted for $464.9 million, including $13 million for community based projects to address health inequities and nutrition-related health conditions, $10 million to establish climate-smart agricultural practices, $6 million for Pan-STARRS near-space object surveillence, and $5 million for endangered species management.
