Good Breeding takes on new meaning for the 2017 Honolulu Hearts of Gold valentine luncheon on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017 at the Outrigger Canoe Club. Special guest speaker Will Haines will discuss Good Breeding: Preserving Hawaii‘s Butterflies, Damselflies and Yellow-Faced Bees. A 2006 ARCS Scholar, Dr. Haines manages the Hawaii State Department of Land and Natural Resources’ captive rearing program for rare and endangered Hawaiian insects and does research in the University of Hawaii’s Department of Plant and Environmental Protection Sciences.
Cost is $75, and a silent auction is planned. Choose your served lunch—Outrigger's famous Chicken Salad in a Papaya Half, Mahimahi Sandwich, or Greek Salad—when you RSVP to arcshonolulu@gmail.com.
