University of Hawai‘i Science Sampler Field Trip

Join ARCS Honolulu Chapter and visiting National Board members from across the country in a visit to some University of Hawai‘i  Manoa science labs and visits with Honolulu ARCS Scholars across the decades.

Highlights include visits to the Insect Museum and an ARCS Scholar alum's microbial laboratory paired with options of a narrated walk through the campus arboretum to view exceptional trees or drive to the Institute for Astronomy to meet scholars.

Decide when you would like to join the group:

  • 9 a.m., to observe the ARCS National Board Forum for reports and background on action items (including Honolulu's proposal to add the Graduate Program in Marine Biology to the list of UH programs approved for ARCS Scholar Awards (no charge)
  • noon for a box lunch and information on the Center for Microbial Oceanography Research and Education ($15)
  • 1 p.m. for the UH Manoa science tours
