University of Hawai‘i Achieves 90% Vaccination Rate

Posted on Thursday, August 19, 2021

Kudos to the students of the 10-campus University of Hawai‘i System—more than 90% have been vaccinated against COVID-19 with fall semester set to open Aug. 23. More than 88% of students at the flagship UH Manoa campus, ARCS Honolulu Chapter's academic partner, are fully vaccinated and another 6% have received at least one dose or intend to get vaccinated. Nearly half of those opting not to get a vaccine say they will do so when an FDA approved vaccine is available; a little over a third say they don't wish to be vaccinated and will study online.

Faculty, staff, students and visitors must be fully vaccinated or submit weekly negative COVID test results and must receive a green light on UH's daily check-in app before coming on campus. Read More
